To strengthen our Life Sciences team, we are looking for a Manager in Life Sciences R&D (m/f/d):

Role and responsibilities
- Support the delivery of transformational projects for clients in the pharmaceutical industry. Address complex problems by employing strategic thinking, implementing effective solutions and by managing key stakeholders.
- Cover all aspects of transformations including advising, reviewing and assessing all major phases of a transformation. Our projects often involve the design and implementation of cutting-edge technologies, digital strategies, operating models, quality system processes, and new ways of working across the R&D spectrum. They also focus on improving business performance by transforming quality culture and mindset, refining processes, leveraging process automation, and harnessing insights from advanced analytics and AI. Our goal is to help our clients accelerate their timelines, leverage internal and external data through advanced analytics and machine learning and improve quality and compliance, among many other benefits.
- Support the development of innovative ideas and proposals to present to senior stakeholders from leading clients in the life sciences industry to secure new projects and grow existing ones.
- Mentor and support junior team members in a fast-growing team. The environment is driven by respect, collegiality, and strong team spirit.

Your qualifications
- Academic excellence: You hold an advanced degree (MSc required, PhD preferred) in a life science or chemistry field, ideally in a quantitative/computational subfield.
- Professional experience: You have at least 4 years of professional experience in consulting.
- Industry knowledge: You have strong knowledge of the R&D environment in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 4 years of experience. You have a good understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms, as well as systems architecture and data flows. You have demonstrated interest in the Life Sciences industry and its applications.
- Communication and presentation skills: You are an excellent communicator with outstanding presentation and moderation skills. You effectively convey complex problems and solutions to a diverse audience in a clear and engaging manner. You have excellent command of written and spoken English. C1 level proficiency in German or French is a strong advantage.
- Conceptual talent: You are scientifically rigorous in your thinking and precise in your language, yet you thrive in environments that can be ambiguous where key information may not be available. You are comfortable with rapid changes in the work environment and can adapt your strategies and approaches to meet evolving project needs and challenges. Your time management skills are well developed. You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to address complex challenges.
- Digital affinity: You have strong digital literacy, an eye for detail and very good MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel. Programming skills in Python and/or R and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI are beneficial.
- Cultural fit: You have high reliability, team spirit and personal fit for a leading global management consulting firm (international orientation & openness to travel frequently to client sites as needed, integrity). Your strong interpersonal skills, enable you to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
