Digital Engineering and Manufacturing Strategy and Transformation Manager

The Invent Intelligent Industry team focuses on enabling secure, scalable, and value-driven digital transformation across Engineering and Manufacturing. We support our clients in strategizing, designing and implementing Digital Engineering, Smart Manufacturing, and AI-enabled Industry solutions to enhance operational excellence, resilience, and innovation.

As a Manager in Intelligent Industry, you will be part of a diverse team and help shaping the future of Digital Engineering and Manufacturing transformation.

Key expectations from this role include:

• Project Leadership: Leading and managing complex transformation projects across Digital Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial IT environments;
• Digital Strategy & Architecture: Defining target architectures and transformation roadmaps for Digital Engineering, MES/MOM, PLM, Industrial IoT, and AI-enabled manufacturing solutions;
• AI & Intelligent Automation: Identifying, structuring, and scaling AI and agentic AI use cases across engineering and shopfloor processes;
• Implementation & Advisory: Translating business requirements into actionable implementation programs, ensuring alignment between business, operations, and IT;
• Business Development: Driving growth by leveraging client relationships, identifying new opportunities across Engineering, Manufacturing and other domains, and contributing to proposal development;
• Client Relationship Management: Acting as a trusted advisor for senior client stakeholders and ensuring high-quality delivery across engagements;
• Thought Leadership: Contributing to go-to-market initiatives, asset development, and positioning Capgemini Invent in Digital Engineering and Smart Manufacturing.

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in Engineering, Natural Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field;
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, digital engineering, manufacturing transformation, or industrial technology environments;
• Strong experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital Engineering, PLM, MES/MOM, Smart Factory, Industrial IoT, Manufacturing Data Platforms, or AI in Operations;
• Proven track record in leading teams and managing workstreams in complex transformation programs;
• Strong understanding of industrial processes (engineering, production, maintenance, supply chain) and their integration with IT/OT systems;
• Experience in defining digital target architectures and translating strategy into implementation roadmaps;
• Business acumen and experience contributing to sales and proposal development;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (written and spoken). German is mandatory at business-proficient level (C1);
• Entrepreneurial mindset, leadership capability, and strong client presence in international environments.
