Senior SAP Consultant (ABAP)

Your role

You’ll work on meaningful SAP development projects for international clients, translating requirements into solid ABAP solutions and solving complex technical challenges. You’ll collaborate with functional teams, contribute to our SAP community, and support less experienced colleagues. This role offers room to grow your skills in modern ABAP and explore new SAP technologies in an environment that values learning and innovation. 

Your project

Join the GDC (Global Delivery Center) and become a part of the PBS (Package Based Services) department, a team of over 300 SAP specialists. We combine deep technological expertise with strategic business consulting, delivering innovative solutions to global enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies. Working across diverse industries, we support our clients in achieving their business transformation goals. 

Your tasks

  • Design, estimate, and deliver highquality solutions using SAP ABAP and related technologies for international clients.  

  • Act as a technical expert, representing the development team in discussions with clients and stakeholders.  

  • Coordinate and oversee development activities to ensure alignment with project timelines and architectural standards.  

  • Drive technical excellence through code reviews, best-practice adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.  

  • Contribute to internal initiatives such as mentoring, knowledge sharing within the SAP community, and supporting the growth of less experienced team members. 

Your profile

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in ABAP OO development, with a strong understanding of modern SAP development standards.  
  • Solid knowledge of at least one of the following technologies: CDS Views, RAP, In-App Extensibility, data migration and archiving, AdobeForms, or EDI.  
  • Basic experience in at least two SAP modules (MDG, BP, F2M, P2P, O2C, D2S, H2R) or familiarity with middleware platforms such as SAP PI/CPI.  
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.  
  • Proactive mindset, ownership attitude, and willingness to support continuous team improvement. 
  • Proficiency in English and/or German, enabling effective communication in international project environments.
  • Experience working in S/4HANA environments (core data services, new programming models) is considered a valuable advantage (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP development (CAP, BAS, Cloud Foundry) or modern UI technologies (SAPUI5 / Fiori) is considered a valuable advantage (nice to have).
