Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD)

Your Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design and maintain CI/CD environments, build automated deployment pipelines, and support both cloud and on-prem infrastructures. You will collaborate with project teams to implement DevOps best practices and guide others in delivering automation solutions across complex initiatives.  

You will also contribute to building AI-ready engineering environments by supporting scalable infrastructure, Kubernetes-based platforms and automated delivery practices for modern application and AI-enabled teams.  

Working with diverse and technically advanced solutions will allow you to build strong relationships with clients and continuously grow your expertise. You will be part of highly self-organizing, independent teams that operate in agile and lean engineering environments, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.

Your project

Cloud & Custom Applications (C&CA) provides comprehensive end-to-end IT services from business specification, through software development and implementation, to application maintenance using leading IT technologies and management methods.  

We enthusiastically institute solutions in the fields of DevOps, SRE, broadly understood automation and AI, with a practical focus on improving delivery efficiency, quality and reliability.  

Your Tasks

• Design, build and support continuous integration and continuous delivery environments for projects carried out in our department. 
• Create deployment pipelines and scripts, and administer cloud and on-prem environments. 
• Use Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD practices to deliver scalable, repeatable and maintainable infrastructure. 
• Test and document your solutions with a focus on reliability, quality and maintainability. 
• Consult project teams on DevOps automation and platform engineering practices. 
• Coordinate teams implementing DevOps solutions in complex projects. 
• Enable AI-assisted engineering practices and support code/configuration reviews for quality, security and maintainability. 
• Contribute to infrastructure patterns that can support AI-enabled applications, model-serving workloads or data-intensive services where relevant.  

Your Profile

• Master’s, engineer’s or bachelor’s degree. 
• At least 4 years of experience in CI/CD and/or cloud technologies. 
• Knowledge of Linux system administration. 
• Knowledge of any scripting language. 
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD tooling. 
• Leadership and consulting experience. 
• Good written and verbal communication skills, minimum B2 English. 
• German language skills will be an additional advantage. 
• Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, model deployment, vector databases or AI platform engineering concepts will be an advantage. 
• Experience with GenAI tools, such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent solutions, or willingness to actively use them to support daily engineering work.
