YOUR ROLE

Join our dynamic development teams supporting both legacy and modern parts of our application landscape. As a Microsoft SQL Server DBA, you will split your time equally between two teams, contributing to the stability, performance, and evolution of our database infrastructure.
You will focus primarily on Core DBA responsibilities such as patching, performance tuning, and query optimization, while also supporting some Application DBA tasks including SQL scripting and database development. This role offers close collaboration with Product Owners and technical experts to deliver secure, robust, and scalable database solutions.

YOUR TASKS

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Server DBA with deep technical expertise across all versions and editions of MSSQL Server. You should be confident in managing database performance, security, and migrations, and comfortable working in a regulated environment hosting sensitive banking data.

Core DBA Responsibilities

• Perform SQL Server patching and ensure database health and stability
• Optimize queries and tune performance across large datasets
• Manage and monitor database security, including access controls and encryption
• Maintain and analyze table statistics, indexes, and collation settings.
  
  

Application DBA Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures
• Support data migration between different MSSQL Server versions
• Design and implement efficient data import processes using SSIS.
  
  

Collaboration and Automation

• Work closely with Product Owners to understand requirements and database solutions
• Support automation of database changes using Liquibase and GitLab pipelines
• Ensure version control and traceability of all database modifications.

YOUR PROFILE

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server across multiple versions and editions
• Proven experience with patching, performance tuning, and query optimization
• Strong understanding of database security principles and practices
• Experience with data migration and SSIS
• Familiarity with versioning tools such as Liquibase or Flyway (Liquibase preferred)
• Experience with deployment automation (Liquibase + GitLab pipelines is a plus)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
  
  

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices
• Experience with other database technologies
