YOUR ROLE

You will take end-to-end ownership of testing activities across business-critical applications supporting Operational Risk, Governance, Compliance, and Regulatory Change. Working in fast-paced delivery environments, you will help ensure solution quality, regulatory compliance, and operational stability through structured test governance, effective execution, and clear stakeholder communication. 

YOUR PROJECT

You will support complex regulatory and change-driven programmes across workflow-based, data-driven, and integration-heavy platforms. The scope includes system, integration, user acceptance, non-functional, and regression testing delivered in collaboration with distributed teams. 

YOUR CLIENT

You will work with stakeholders across Business, Development, Risk, Architecture, Controls, and Compliance functions within Financial Services. This role values ownership, sound judgement, attention to regulatory requirements, and the ability to communicate testing outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders. 

YOUR TASKS

• Lead and manage end-to-end test activities across platforms supporting Operational Risk, Controls, Governance, Compliance, and Regulatory business areas.
• Define and execute test strategies, test plans, test governance, scope, estimates, and entry and exit criteria for regulatory and change-driven initiatives.
• Coordinate and complete system, integration, user acceptance, non-functional, and regression testing across distributed teams.
• Ensure testing provides evidence of compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal risk controls.
• Manage defects through their lifecycle, including triage, prioritisation, retesting, closure, and escalation.
• Prepare test status reports, quality metrics, risk assessments, and clear communications for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Business, Development, Risk, Architecture, Controls, and Compliance teams to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Support test environment, test data, and release-readiness activities for business-critical applications. 

YOUR PROFILE

• Minimum 5 years of experience in testing roles within Financial Services, Banking, Risk, or Regulatory environments.
• Proven experience supporting Operational Risk, Risk and Control frameworks, regulatory programmes, and governance-related initiatives.
• Experience testing workflow-based, data-driven, and integration-heavy applications.
• Strong understanding of testing within regulatory-driven deliveries, including compliance, audit, and controls.
• Experience with SAI360 or a similar GRC or Operational Risk platform is highly desirable.
• Experience in API and integration testing using REST APIs, SoapUI, or similar tools.
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, test governance, and test management practices.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, ALM, or Xray.
• ISTQB Foundation certification; an Advanced-level certification is preferred.
• Non-functional testing experience, including performance and operational controls in highly regulated environments, is desirable.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and senior stakeholder management skills.

Your development path 
In this role, you can deepen your expertise in SIT and UAT leadership, test governance, Operational Risk, and regulatory change. You will also have opportunities to strengthen your knowledge of GRC platforms, API and integration testing, non-functional assurance, and senior stakeholder management across complex Financial Services programmes.
