Your role
As a Lead SAP FICO Consultant, you’ll drive S/4HANA implementation workstreams- shaping end‑to‑end Finance & Controlling processes, guiding solution design, and ensuring delivery quality across multiple markets. You’ll lead workshops with key stakeholders, mentor consultants, manage integrations with logistics areas, and collaborate closely with architects and developers to create robust, future‑ready solutions. Your expertise will help steer testing, data migration, and cutover activities while building strong, trust‑based relationships with clients.

Join the GDC (Global Delivery Center) and become a part of the PBS (Package Based Services) department, a team of over 300 SAP specialists. We combine deep technological expertise with strategic business consulting, delivering innovative solutions to global enterprises, including Fortune 500 companies. Working across diverse industries, we support our clients in achieving their business transformation goals.
Your tasks
- Acting as the FICO workstream lead in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, driving solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment across multiple markets or business units.
- Leading functional workshops (Explore phase), facilitating decisionmaking with key stakeholders, and defining endtoend Finance & Controlling processes within a global template.
- Designing complex functional solutions in FI and CO, preparing highquality documentation, and ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and project architecture.
- Coordinating and mentoring consultants within the FICO team, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery of all workstream deliverables.
- Managing integration topics with MM/SD/PP and collaborating with architects to shape the overall solution design.
- Working closely with development teams to define WRICEF objects and validate enhancements, Fiori applications, custom reports, and BTPbased extensions.
- Supporting test planning and execution (SIT/UAT), data migration activities, cutover strategy, and hypercare stabilization.
- Building trusted relationships with clients through proactive consulting, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
Your profile
- At least 7–8 years of experience in SAP FICO, including hands on configuration and architecture-level solution design.
- Proven track record in leading SAP S/4HANA implementation projects or major workstreams within global rollouts.
- Deep expertise in FI and CO processes (GL, AP, AR, FA, AA, CCA, PCA, COPA, IO, Product Costing, closing activities).
- Strong understanding of S/4HANA innovations such as Universal Journal, Fiori, parallel ledgers, extension ledgers, Document Splitting, and event-based processing.
- Experience in end-to-end process analysis, optimization, and design during S/4 transformations.
- Ability to lead teams, coordinate cross functional topics, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent communication skills in English or German (knowledge of both is a strong advantage).
- Experience with advanced SAP Finance components such as Central Finance (cFIN), Group Reporting (GR), FSCM (Credit/Collections/Dispute), DRC (Document & Reporting Compliance), Product Costing/Margin Analysis, and BTP extensions (CDS Views, custom Fiori apps) will be considered a great advantage (not mandatory).
