YOUR ROLE

You will validate data pipelines, transformations, and business rules across Databricks-based platforms supporting analytics, risk, and regulatory reporting in Investment Banking. In this role, you can expect close collaboration with Data Engineers, Technical Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability. You will have a direct impact on solution quality and confidence in data used for decision-making and compliance. 

YOUR PROJECT

You will work on modern cloud data platforms built with Databricks and lakehouse concepts, helping deliver robust data solutions for financial services. This role suits someone who enjoys testing complex data flows, validating transformations, and improving confidence in data-intensive products. 

YOUR CLIENT

You will support stakeholders working on data, risk, and regulatory solutions in Financial Services, providing clear validation outcomes and helping maintain trusted data foundations. This role values analytical thinking, precision, and a collaborative approach to solving data quality challenges. 

YOUR TASKS

  • Design and execute data test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios for data platforms 
  • Validate ETL and ELT pipelines built on Databricks, ensuring correct data ingestion and transformation 

  • Perform data validation and reconciliation across source and target systems 

  • Validate business rules, calculations, aggregations, and regulatory logic implemented in data layers

  • Identify, log, and track data defects, working closely with Data Engineers to support resolution 
  • Support UAT and regression testing for data-driven applications and reports 

  • Contribute to test documentation, data quality reporting, and testing best practices 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the reliability and quality of data used for business decisions and compliance 

YOUR PROFILE

  • 3–7+ years of experience in data testing or QA roles within Financial Services or Investment Banking 
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and investigation 

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, or PySpark-based data pipelines 

  • Understanding of data warehousing or lakehouse concepts and end-to-end data flows 

  • Knowledge of data quality dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency 

  • Experience with defect and test management tools such as Jira, Xray, ALM, or Azure DevOps 

  • Exposure to regulatory, risk, credit, or reporting data domains; ISTQB or Python-based test automation experience is a plus
