AI Business Architect (Public Services, German)

Your role

In the BTS Public Services department, you will use your skills and experience to support our clients in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, digital transformation, and innovation. You will help public sector organizations identify, design, and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve public services, increase operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making. We offer interesting international projects for leading clients from the public sector.

Your tasks

• Working as an independent consultant and advising public sector clients in AI-driven transformation, digitalization, and implementation of regulatory requirements.
• Analyzing, modeling, and improving business processes, organizational structures, and IT environments, as well as identifying and defining AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Preparing concepts, target operating models, AI adoption roadmaps, and supporting the implementation of solutions throughout their lifecycle, from discovery and business validation to operational adoption.
• Conducting presentations, workshops, discovery sessions, and AI use case assessments with clients and stakeholders.
• Supporting public sector organizations in key areas such as compliance, policy implementation, public service delivery, and responsible adoption of AI technologies.
• Translating business rules, process requirements, compliance constraints, and user needs into structured requirements and delivery-ready specifications for architecture, data, and AI development teams.
• Supporting the definition and implementation of AI governance frameworks, Responsible AI principles, AI risk management approaches, and compliance requirements, including aspects related to the EU AI Act.
• Supporting the design, testing, and optimization of GenAI assistants, prompt-based solutions, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Co-creating client offers, driving AI adoption, and supporting and mentoring consultants and project teams.

Your project

Business & Technology Solutions (BTS) department is a team of business analysts, AI business architects, IT architects and project managers, who support our clients in designing, planning, and conducting digital and AI-driven transformations. We create a bridge between business objectives, AI opportunities, and the world of technology solutions that can help to achieve them. We strive to understand our clients' business, current and future challenges, as well as their IT and data environments. We then identify AI opportunities, design target operating models, define AI use cases, and help plan and implement new technological solutions that improve or transform business processes. We frequently translate business requirements, regulatory constraints, and operational needs into structured specifications for AI and IT delivery teams, ensuring that solutions remain compliant, scalable, and business-oriented.

Your profile

• At least 2 years of experience in IT consulting, business architecture, designing IT architectures, implementing IT systems, or supporting digital transformation initiatives in public sector organizations;
• Experience in analysis, modeling, process improvement, and translating business requirements into technology-enabled solutions;
• You are interested in the public sector and the opportunities that Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation create for public institutions and citizens;
• You are familiar with current market trends such as Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Intelligent Automation, Digitalization, E-Governance, and Data-Driven Decision Making;
• You have a good understanding of AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI assistants, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or are willing to develop expertise in these areas;
• You understand the importance of AI governance, Responsible AI principles, data governance, and regulatory requirements, and are interested in applying them in real-world projects;
• You excel in building relationships with people, are communicative, and find satisfaction in helping public sector partners understand and adopt innovative AI-powered solutions;
• Strong command of German and English;
• You possess excellent analytical thinking skills – you can analyze processes, situations, and problems in a structured way, evaluate business value and risks, and propose solutions focused on achieving measurable business outcomes;
• You are comfortable working with business stakeholders, architects, data experts, and AI engineering teams in an international environment.
