Your role
Step into a role where you set the direction and make a real impact. Whether guiding a client through a high-value consultancy project or taking charge of development and testing on major programmes, you will be at the heart of delivering solutions that matter.
What You’ll Do
• Shape technical strategy for bids and projects, using our proven lifecycle model and advanced toolsets
• Take ownership of requirements, architecture, design, development and testing to deliver robust, safety-critical systems
• Inspire and influence – mentor junior colleagues, champion our correctness-by-construction approach, and work with our sales team to secure new opportunities
Your profile
We are looking for a proven technical leader with deep expertise in safety-critical software development and AOCS design. You will combine strong technical knowledge with leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to deliver complex projects.
You’ll Need:
• Comprehensive understanding of the full safety-critical software development lifecycle
• Expertise in requirements, development or testing, with experience in aerospace, defence, rail, automotive or transport sectors
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as IEC 61508, EN 50128, ISO 26262, DEF STAN 00-55, ED-109 or DO-178
• Proven experience in AOCS design and analysis, including system-level design, control and estimation, hardware/software integration and verification
• A track record of leading high-value software projects and building team capability
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisational ability and a methodical, detail-focused approach
Desirable:
• Degree in software engineering or related discipline, Chartered Engineer status and experience with static analysis techniques
