Security Consultant (Microsoft Security Solutions)

Your role

As a Security Consultant, you will deliver cybersecurity advisory projects across risk, compliance, and data protection domains, supporting clients in strengthening their overall security posture. You will translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations tailored for senior stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making. Working with Microsoft security technologies such as Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Purview, and Intune, you will help design and implement effective, scalable security solutions aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Deliver cybersecurity advisory projects across risk, compliance, and data protection.
  • Translate technical insights into business recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Work with Microsoft security tools (Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Purview, Intune).

Your profile

Must-have: Microsoft Purview Expertise

  • Hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) across Endpoint, M365, and Cloud Apps, including policy design (conditions, exceptions, SITs, EDM) and incident analysis (exfiltration, USB, printing, sharing)
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles (classification, lifecycle, retention) and their application across Purview capabilities
  • Proven experience in Insider Risk Management (IRM), including Data Theft, Data Leakage, and Violations policies, with knowledge of activity indicators and signal sources
  • Ability to configure and optimize IRM policies, scoring models, and behavioral incident triage processes, including collaboration with HR, Legal, and Compliance
  • Expertise in Information Protection (Purview IP): Sensitivity Labels, Label Policies, and auto-labelling across M365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams)
  • Solid knowledge of AIP/MIP and enterprise data classification, including telemetry analysis (adoption, misclassification, optimization)
  • Practical experience with PowerShell automation for bulk operations, policy/label management, and scalable governance processes
  • Experience in complex, global environments with high alert volumes, DLP integrations beyond M365, custom rule sets, enterprise labelling taxonomy design, and relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft SC/AZ, CISSP, CISM)
