SAP Consultant (S/4 Hana, Migration)

Your role

You’ll lead technical S/4HANA migration activities, shaping the migration approach and ensuring smooth data transition for our clients. Working closely with functional teams and stakeholders, you’ll oversee data preparation, guide migration execution, and manage key phases such as mock runs and cutover. You’ll also support best‑practice development and mentor team members while continuing to expand your expertise in modern SAP migration tools and methods.

Join the GDC (Global Delivery Center) and become a part of the PBS (Package Based Services) department, a team of over 300 SAP specialists. Your tasks

• design and execute comprehensive S/4HANA migration strategies and detailed migration plans;
• assess and categorize migration data to ensure completeness, consistency, and overall data quality;
• lead data cleansing, enrichment, and transformation activities across all relevant source systems;
• develop, configure, and coordinate migration tools and programs for automated and manual data loading;
• manage end‑to‑end migration cycles, including mock runs, blackout periods, and cutover execution;
• monitor migration progress, identify potential issues early, and implement proactive risk‑mitigation measures;
• collaborate with project managers, functional teams, and client stakeholders to align migration activities with project timelines and business expectations.

Your profile

• minimum 10 years of experience working within the SAP ecosystem;
• strong expertise in ABAP OO, including performance optimization and debugging in migration scenarios;
• proven experience in data migration, including excellent knowledge of SAP Migration Cockpit (object modeling, staging tables, direct transfer, BAPI‑based loads) and hands‑on work with ETL processes such as data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and validation;
• participation in at least one full-cycle S/4HANA greenfield migration (from design to cutover);
• experience in defining migration scope and participating in client-facing workshops, requirement gathering, design sessions, and estimations;
• strong communication skills and a professional command of English.

Nice to have:

• experience in executing brownfield (system conversion) S/4HANA migration projects;
• background in preparing technical proposals or contributing to pre-sales activities;
• knowledge of German is considered a great advantage.
