Material Planner

Your role

You will translate production plans into material requirements, ensure continuous material availability, and proactively identify risks or shortages. You will collaborate closely with Procurement and suppliers, monitor PO confirmations and deliveries, and support issue resolution. Additionally, you will manage inventory levels, address excesses or gaps, and oversee short‑term material exceptions to keep production running smoothly.

Your tasks

• Convert the production plan/MPS into a detailed material requirements plan and calculate net needs using inventories, lead times, and planning parameters
• Maintain an ongoing short‑ and mid‑term materials plan to support production
• Ensure material availability by validating supply with vendors and identifying shortages, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Escalate supply risks and propose constrained scenarios to Supply Planning and Procurement
• Act as the operational link with Procurement and suppliers, monitoring PO confirmations, delivery dates, and supplier performance
• Manage inventory levels by tracking raw/packaging stocks, identifying excess or slow‑moving materials, and recommending actions to meet inventory and working‑capital targets
• Oversee short‑term material exceptions and track availability versus production execution within the frozen horizon.

Your profile

• Fluency in English (min B2)
• University or technical degree in logistics, manufacturing, systems, or business (experience in supply chain, FMCG, planning, or international environments is a plus)
• Collaborating well within teams and customer focus attitude
• Demonstrating analytical skills; proficient in MS Office with bonus points for SQL or other systems (SAP APO, Axapta, Vanguard, SAS)
• 2-4 years experience
