Your Role
As an Inventory Planner, you will be at the heart of ensuring product availability and optimal stock performance across global supply chains. Working closely with factory teams and global planning stakeholders, you will translate data into actionable inventory strategies that directly impact service levels and customer satisfaction. This is a role where analytical thinking meets real operational impact.
Your Tasks
- Owning end-to-end inventory planning for assigned factories, creating and maintaining short and mid-term production plans that ensure optimal stock levels and high service performance.
- Analysing inventory parameters, identifying imbalances, and proactively adjusting min/max settings to align with agreed supply chain strategies and business targets.
- Monitoring and managing planning KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Identifying planning bottlenecks and capacity constraints, balancing technical and labour capacity considerations while factoring in system parameters, downtime, and active projects.
- Managing factory-to-factory product relocations end-to-end, ensuring full system readiness and material availability throughout the transition process.
- Preparing and communicating Master Production Schedule (MPS) snapshots and capacity reports to relevant stakeholders, ensuring full planning visibility across the organisation.
- Supporting product lifecycle activities including new product introductions and discontinuations, coordinating format class assignments and resolving related planning issues.
- Escalating critical availability risks and inventory issues for operational alignment meetings, ensuring timely resolution and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Your Profile
- 2+ years of experience in inventory planning within an end-to-end supply chain environment, with a solid understanding of production planning processes and inventory management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex planning data, identify root causes, and implement effective and timely solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience collaborating across planning teams, factory operations, and other cross-functional partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously, with strong time management skills and a results-driven approach to achieving planning KPIs.
- Experience working with planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), with confidence in maintaining accurate data and generating planning reports.
- Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to understand downstream requirements and translate them into upstream planning decisions that improve service levels.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, capable of reaching balanced agreements with diverse stakeholders while balancing short and long-term supply chain needs.
- A continuous improvement mindset, open to adopting new tools and methodologies, learning from outcomes, and contributing to process optimisation across the planning function.
