Your role
As an End to End Planner (Material Planning), you will be a key link between production, procurement, and suppliers, ensuring materials are always in the right place at the right time. You'll translate production plans into actionable material strategies, balancing inventory targets and working capital goals, all while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Your tasks
- Converting the production plan and Master Production Schedule (MPS) into a structured Material Requirements Plan (MRP), calculating net requirements using inventories, lead times, and planning parameters to ensure production continuity.
- Maintaining a rolling monthly and medium-term materials plan, ensuring it remains accurate, up to date, and aligned with broader supply chain goals.
- Validating material availability based on supplier feedback, proactively identifying shortages, risks, and opportunities before they impact production.
- Proposing constrained planning scenarios and escalating material risks to Supply Planning and Procurement teams in a timely and structured manner.
- Acting as the key operational interface between Procurement and suppliers, monitoring purchase order (PO) confirmations, delivery dates, and overall supplier performance.
- Supporting supplier issue resolution and coordinating recovery actions to minimise disruption to the production schedule.
- Monitoring raw and packaging material inventories, identifying excess stock, slow-moving materials, or shortage risks, and proposing corrective actions aligned with working capital objectives.
- Tracking material availability versus production execution and managing short-term exceptions within the frozen planning horizon to maintain operational stability.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement by adopting new planning methods, learning from past challenges, and contributing to the development of more efficient and resilient planning processes.
Your profile
- At least 2 years of experience in an end-to-end material planning role, with hands-on knowledge of MRP processes, planning parameters, and inventory management.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or Logistics.
- Fluent English (C1 level), you'll be communicating regularly with international teams, suppliers, and stakeholders across functions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and share information across planning teams, factories, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset, you anticipate issues early, initiate mitigation actions, and don't wait for problems to escalate before acting.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, you identify root causes clearly, assess options, and implement practical, effective solutions.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to prioritise a complex workload and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A customer-oriented approach, with an understanding of how material planning decisions impact downstream operations and end customer satisfaction.
- An innovative and improvement-focused attitude, open to adopting new tools and methods, learning from mistakes, and actively contributing to process optimisation initiatives.
