Translation Platform Specialist

Your Role

 

Own and support translation platforms (e.g. Trados, GroupShare, Machine Translation), ensuring stable operations, efficient user support, and seamless integration into documentation workflows. The role is responsible for first-line support, user enablement, and vendor coordination. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide first-line support for RWS tools and manage incident triage (P1–P4) 
  • Administer platform: user access, configuration, updates, and system health 
  • Coordinate escalations with RWS and track SLA performance 
  • Support integration with PIM, CMS, and documentation systems 
  • Train users and create internal guidelines for tool usage
  • Ensure data handling and system usage comply with internal policies 
  • Drive continuous improvement of translation workflows and cost efficiency 

Your Profile

 

  • Senior-level specialist combining technical platform ownership, support expertise, and localization/translation knowledge, capable of bridging IT, documentation teams, and external vendors
  • Experience with translation management systems (RWS tools preferred: Trados, GroupShare, ContentFlow) 
  • Strong background in application support / system administration 
  • Understanding of localization workflows (TM, terminology, MT + post‑editing) 
  • Ability to troubleshoot incidents, analyze root causes, and work with ticketing systems 
  • Understanding and ability to troubleshoot virtual desktop setup and applications installed 
  • Familiarity with structured content (XML/DITA) and documentation environments (preferred) 
  • Basic knowledge of APIs and system integrations and SFTP 
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
