Technical Writer

YOUR ROLE

As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-focused technical documentation that helps users understand complex products, processes, and work instructions. Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders, you will transform technical information into structured, easy-to-understand content while ensuring compliance with documentation standards and best practices. This role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Develop and maintain user documentation, work instructions, manuals, and procedural guides for technical products and processes.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
  • Create and maintain XML-based documentation using structured authoring methodologies.
  • Produce DITA-compliant content and ensure consistency across documentation deliverables.
  • Drive documentation reviews, validation activities, and stakeholder alignment throughout the content lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product specialists, and subject matter experts to gather, validate, and maintain technical information.
  • Ensure compliance with established style guides, documentation standards, and quality requirements.
  • Manage content within Windchill and Arbortext environments and contribute to content lifecycle management activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to documentation quality, usability, and efficiency.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Languages, Literature, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer, including mandatory experience creating XML-based technical documentation.
  • Mandatory experience working with Arbortext and Windchill in a technical documentation and content management environment.Strong understanding of structured authoring principles;
  • experience with DITA-compliant content, Simplified Technical English, and topic-based/minimalistic writing is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to understand complex technical information and communicate it clearly to diverse audiences.
