Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Customer Data Platform (CDP) Engineer to join our growing team. This hands-on role will be crucial in building, configuring, and maintaining our AEP and Adobe Real-Time CDP (RTCDP) implementations. You will work closely with Architects, Marketing, and IT teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient customer data solutions that drive personalized customer experiences. This role focuses on the practical application and operational excellence of AEP, ensuring data integrity, system performance, and seamless integration across our MarTech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain AEP and Adobe Real-Time CDP (RTCDP) solutions as per architectural designs
- Configure and manage AEP/RT-CDP data architecture, including data ingestion, XDM modelling, identity resolution, profile enablement, and activation
- Configure data prep mappings for data onboarding
- Work with query service or data distiller to transform data to fit the desired use-cases
- Use Adobe APIs to configure and maintain AEP and RT-CDP
- Support the definition and governance of data integration between upstream enterprise sources (e.g., CRM, order management, customer service) and AEP
- Configure RTCDP elements such as profile merge rules, identity namespaces, consent management, and destination activation
- Develop and implement Adobe XDM schemas (Profile-enabled and non-profile), datasets, and data flows, ensuring alignment with current and future use cases
- Support the implementation of architectural standards for batch, streaming, and real-time ingestion patterns within AEP, focusing on data quality, completeness, and privacy compliance
- Build and manage unified customer profiles and audience segmentation based on defined strategies
- Collaborate with data engineers and technical build teams to ensure efficient, resilient, and documented ingestion pipelines
- Provided data monitoring, technical support and troubleshooting during solution delivery phases, clearly communicating technical details to stakeholders
- Implement and manage consent and privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) within AEP, integrating with legal and privacy teams
- Provide technical expertise and contribute to peer reviews for development teams
- Contribute to the unified strategy and roadmap for Adobe Experience Platform and related tools
- Document AEP and RT-CDP implementation in detail through Solution Design Reference and Technical Specification documents
Required Skills and Experiences
Technical Skills:
- 6-8 years of experience in data engineering, MarTech implementation, systems integration, or enterprise data management
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including Real-Time CDP (RTCDP), XDM schema design, Identity Service, batch and streaming ingestion, Data Distiller and/or Query Service, segmentation, and audience activation through integration with downstream systems
- Experience leveraging AEP APIs and Web and Mobile SDKs to stream data from application connectors
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tool technical configuration and integration is preferred
- Understanding of event-driven data models and customer data modelling patterns
- Experience working with cloud data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
- Knowledge of Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), and other Adobe Experience Cloud applications is preferred
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and consent frameworks
- Good documentation skills for technical configurations, data flows, and integration details
- Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Python or pipeline tools (e.g., Kafka, Azure Data Factory) is a plus
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- AEP certifications (RT-CDP Business Practitioner, RT-CDP Developer, or equivalent) are a plus
- Experience in Utilities, Energy, Telco, or regulated industries strongly preferred
- Familiarity with customer information systems (CIS), billing platforms, call center data, and IoT/AMI data is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical data concepts to both technical teams and marketing stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and IT stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data quality, latency, and completeness issues
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams in complex environments
- Ability to translate technical requirements into practical implementations
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $70,751 - $165,984 CAD.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
