YOUR ROLE
As an OT Architect at Capgemini Engineering with deep expertise in operational technology and a strong focus on the energy sector, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and securing complex OT systems for energy and utility environments supporting the energy industry, especially as more and more investments are made in green energy sources. These investments pose new challenges for smart grid management. Capgemini Engineering is at the forefront of providing expertise in complex systems as part of the future smart grid.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop comprehensive OT architecture strategies for energy infrastructure.
- Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for OT technology integration across multi-disciplinary environments.
- Conduct detailed technical assessments of existing OT ecosystems, identifying optimization opportunities and potential modernization strategies.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures for domain specific control networks, ensuring compliance with domain specific standards and best practices.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by integrating advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive maintenance technologies into OT infrastructure.
- Evaluate and recommend industrial automation technologies, control systems, and networking solutions.
- Develop integration strategies between IT and OT systems.
- Provide technical guidance on OT system migrations, upgrades, and legacy system modernization.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on OT transformation projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align OT architecture with broader business and operational objectives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural blueprints, and system design specifications.
YOUR PROFILE
You are a seasoned OT architect with over a decade of experience in the energy and utility sectors. With deep expertise in ICS and Energy Management Systems, you bring advanced knowledge of industrial communication protocols and automation platforms. Your strong grasp of OT cybersecurity standards (NIST, IEC 62443), smart grid technologies, and renewable energy systems positions you to drive impactful transformation. You thrive in complex industrial environments, translating technical requirements into strategic solutions, and communicating effectively across all levels. Your track record of successful OT transformation projects speaks to your ability to deliver innovation with confidence.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineeringmaster's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in OT architecture, specifically in renwable energy/utility sectors.
- Deep understanding of ICS/ Energy Management Systems.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Telemetry protocols like IEC-60870-5-104/101 and IEC-61850, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP).
- Comprehensive understanding of industrial automation, Energy Management (EMS) platforms (e.g. AspenTech, Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider Electric, GE Vernova).
- Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles and standards, Familiarity with industry standards like NIST, IEC 62443.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and digital transformation technologies.
