ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Scada Specialist, you will be responsible for comprehensive automation strategy development and implementation across energy production and distribution systems. Your expertise will be critical in designing sophisticated industrial control systems, creating intelligent automation scripts, and ensuring seamless system integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, enhance cybersecurity, and support digital transformation initiatives in the energy sector. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Develop and implement advanced automation strategies for energy production and distribution systems.
  • Design and configure industrial control systems (ICS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Create robust automation scripts and programming solutions for energy infrastructure.
  • Conduct comprehensive system integration and performance optimization.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance and implement secure automation protocols.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for OT environments.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives in energy infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to end users and junior engineers. 

YOUR PROFILE

To succeed in this role, you should have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in OT automation, ideally in the energy/utilities sector.
  • Proficiency in industrial automation platforms (e.g., Siemens, Schneider Electric, AspenTech, ABB, GE Vernova).
  • Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, and other energy related communication protocols.
  • Programming skills in Python, ladder logic, and structured text.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems and network infrastructure.

NOTE
