What you'll be working on as OT Solution Architect

With the emergence of AI, engineering is undergoing a transformation. As a strong innovation partner, Capgemini Engineering attempts to understand what challenges our clients in complex manufacturing environments are facing, and how we can help bridging the gaps between AI and OT. 

To be successful in this mission, we are building our technical expertise for different industries. The Energy industy holds a priority position, in which multiple colleagues are already supporting clients as consultants, project managers and SME's. Considering our current position and growth prospects in this domain, we need someone who can help building our client portfolio and lead engineering teams in their project deliveries. This requires a strong technical background and experience in transforming manufacturing environments.

You will hold a critical position in our engineering department and COE (center of excellence). You are acting as thought leader, supporting many internal and external stakeholders with their challenges, either technical or business related. Also, you hold an important position to mentor other, more junior colleagues, helping them to be successful in their journeys.

Your profile

As this is a highly critical and versatile position, we expect you to have a strong technical background with solid experience in the energy domain. Other domains can be relevant and considered as well. This role is a combination of engineering solution architecture and people leadership, which requires:

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to understand client challenges and offer tailored solutions
• Knowledge of emerging technologies. AI is certainly important, but terms like IIoT, smart factory, cloud technologies and enterprise architecture/roadmapping should be familiar to you
• The ability to translate technical complexity into business impact for senior decision-makers

What we offer

• A gross salary between €6.000 and €7.500 per month, plus a mobility allowance of €900 and 8% holiday allowance (based on a 40-hour workweek).

Your work environment

With over 200 colleagues, our Manufacturing & Industrial Operations department offers significant and meaningful contributions to various organisations in The Netherlands and occasionally abroad. Our people have expertise in offering partnerships and solutions around industrial automation, smart factory, and data science. Our projects vary tremendously, from upgrading automation systems for a vaccin production line, designing smart sensors based on IoT and cloud technology to reduce food waste, to developing predictive models to optimize warehouse logistics. And sometimes you are working as technical coordinator in large project teams of over 50 colleagues, and at other times you are working on a solution with only two or three other colleagues. This makes our work highly unpredictable in scope, project duration and commuting time. Yet also incredibly rewarding in terms of learning and growth opportunities.
