Junior Cyber Security XDR Engineer

Job Description

Cybersecurity Engineers are responsible for maintaining our customers security tools and their configurations, usually involving the security platforms. They are expected to have an understanding of cyber technologies such as endpoint solutions and cloud computing. They will also be involved in use case management, automation working collaboratively with the client and other stakeholders. Cybersecurity Engineers will have experience with security platforms and have the ability to work in a fast paced technology environment. They are expected to have a good level of understanding of threat actors and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures and networking with relevant cyber security qualifications.

Job Description - Grade Specific

• Assisting in deployment, configuration, and optimization of security platforms • Supporting in the configuration and troubleshooting of security infrastructure devices, including SIEM systems and XDR components • Performing basic tuning of system rules and correlation searches to enhance detection capabilities • Conducting initial trend analysis to help fine-tune alerts, policies, and configurations • Participating in the development of automation processes and implementation of best practices. • Experience in IT with a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience in incident management • Excellent written and verbal communication skill • Commitment to work towards industry-relevant certifications (e.g. Comp TIA Security+/Network+, MS AZ-900, SC-900, SC-200)
