Your role

As a DevOps Engineer – Power Management Systems (SCADA) at Capgemini Engineering, you will help maintain and enhance mission-critical infrastructure for a leading European transmission system operator. You’ll work on EMS/SCADA platforms that control high-voltage electricity networks as part of the “Control Room of the Future” initiative.
In this role, you will (or be willing to learn to):
 
  • Monitor and optimize performance of SCADA systems across high-voltage electricity networks.
  • Develop automation solutions for upgrades, patches, and configuration management.
  • Coordinate incident resolution under pressure, including P1 scenarios.
  • Maintain runbooks, protocols, and documentation for power management systems.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and user stories.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with SCADA systems in energy or utility environments.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Ansible) and Linux system administration.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and virtualized deployment environments.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
