What You’ll Do
- Own the technical vision for complex, enterprise-level solutions spanning AI, data, application, and platform engineering.
- Design and oversee AI‑native architectures, including LLM-driven systems, data platforms, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure.
- Act as a hands-on technical authority: review designs, challenge assumptions, prototype critical components, and unblock teams when needed.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire senior engineers and tech leads, raising the bar for engineering maturity and craftsmanship.
- Partner with clients at architect and executive level, translating business strategy into actionable technical roadmaps.
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven differentiation, helping shape proposals, offerings, and long-term client partnerships.
- Contribute to internal and external visibility: thought leadership, engineering standards, speaking engagements, and community initiatives.
- Drive a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement across teams and domains.
What You Bring
- AI Engineering Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and production AI systems.
- Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead senior engineers, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across teams.
- Market Presence & Consulting Experience: Commercial awareness, ability to position technology as business value, and strong network. Background in consulting, working directly with clients at multiple levels of seniority.
- Software Engineering Excellence: Strong background in backend engineering (e.g. Java, Python) and modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, domain-driven design).
- Platform & Cloud Savvy: Deep understanding of cloud-native platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP valued), Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Enterprise Mindset: Experience designing systems that are secure, scalable, observable, and compliant in regulated environments.
- Fluency in English, Dutch or French can be a plus
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience in financial services, including regulatory, security, or data‑privacy constraints.
- Contributions to open source, publications, conference talks, or active involvement in engineering communities.
- Fluency in Dutch.
