HR Business Partner & TA Manager (Dual-role)

Role Overview

As the HRBP and TA Manager, you will play a critical role in establishing and growing Capgemini Invent’s presence in Japan. This dual-role is pivotal to both strategic HR management and Talent Acquisition efforts. You will drive business growth by attracting top-tier consulting talent while providing comprehensive HR support aligned with Capgemini Invent’s global standards and local market nuances.

This is a hands-on role requiring deep knowledge of Japanese culture, labor laws, and the ability to build long-term partnerships across internal and external stakeholders. Fluency in both Japanese and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities - Talent Acquisition (TA):

  • Strategic Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage top talent through advanced sourcing techniques on platforms like LinkedIn, and other relevant online and offline channels. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with business leaders to align recruitment strategies with organizational goals, ensuring a seamless recruitment cycle from initial contact to offer acceptance. 
  • Pipeline Development: Continuously build and maintain a robust candidate pipeline to meet both immediate and future hiring needs by leveraging diverse sourcing channels including professional networks, agencies, universities, and more. 
  • Candidate Assessment: Conduct thorough screenings and coordinate with internal teams to facilitate detailed evaluation processes, ensuring candidates meet the high standards of skill and cultural fit required at Capgemini Invent. 
  • Interview Facilitation: Organise and streamline interview processes, providing a positive experience for both candidates and interviewers, and gather feedback to efficiently advance candidates through the recruitment process. 
  • Cross-Regional Collaboration: Facilitate knowledge exchange and best practices between the Europe, APAC, and local HR teams to enhance recruitment efforts and outcomes. 
  • Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for Capgemini Invent, effectively promoting our brand and career opportunities in external markets, particularly within Japan. 

Key Responsibilities - HR Business Partnering:

  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Collaborate with leadership to ensure effective headcount planning and align workforce strategies with business goals, enabling smooth scaling in the Japan market.
  • Employee Relations Management: Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, facilitating resolutions for complex HR issues including performance management, grievances, disciplinary actions, and terminations, while ensuring compliance with Japanese labor laws.
  • Engagement and Culture Building: Drive engagement initiatives by analysing employee feedback, developing actionable plans, and promoting a positive work environment that aligns with Capgemini Invent’s culture and values.
  • Change Management: Support organisational transformations such as restructuring and integrations by offering tailored solutions that address both business requirements and cultural considerations unique to Japan.
  • Leadership Development and Coaching: Partner with managers to build leadership capabilities, offering guidance on team management, conflict resolution, and employee career growth.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure the implementation of HR policies that are compliant with Japanese regulations and aligned with global standards, minimizing risks while maintaining consistency.
  • Performance and Talent Management: Lead key HR processes such as performance reviews, talent assessments, and career development initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Collaboration and Best Practices: Work closely with regional and global HR teams to share insights, adopt best practices, and ensure a seamless integration of local and international HR operations.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor key HR metrics, such as attrition and diversity, and provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ HR experience, with expertise in Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partnering.
  • Proven experience working in consulting, professional services, or multinational organisations.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of Japanese labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong understanding of talent trends in Japan’s consulting market.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and recruitment tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to navigate cultural nuances and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Adaptable and results-driven, with a passion for working in dynamic environments.
