Job Description

QA Tester with 8 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The candidate should have strong knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and hand-on experience in functional testing. Experience in the insurance domain is a plus but not mandatory.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse business requirements and functional specifications related to applications.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
  • Perform Sprint, Regression, Integration, System and System Integration Testing.
  • Validate end-to-end insurance workflows (Quote, Bind, Issue , Endorsement, Renewal, Claims).
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Mangers, Product Owners and Test team.
  • Support UAT activities and provide timely assistance to business users.
  • Create and manage test data to support UAT if business user requests.
  • Provide effort estimations sprint wise for testing tasks in Jira. 

Key Requirements

Essencials:

  • 8+ years of experience in Manual Functional Testing.
  • Experience in Batch Testing and backend job validation.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC.
  • Experience in writing and executing test cases and test scenarios
  • Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools such as (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of Java to run and support automation test scripts.
  • Ability to create and manage test data for various testing scenarios.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for manipulating test data and validate.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Language: Japanese - Business level (JLPT N2 or above)

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the Insurance domain (Policy Administration, Claims, Billing).
  • Exposure to Automation Testing tools (Selenium or similar).
  • API Testing experience (Postman, REST).
  • Understanding of Non-Functional Testing concepts such as performance, Recovery & security testing.
  • Test scheduled jobs and batch process, including data preparation.
