Job Description

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the Data & Analytics workstream within large retail transformation programs
  • Align analytics scope, priorities, and milestones to merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and finance outcomes
  • Drive governance across business, system integrators, and vendors, managing risks, dependencies, and decisions
  • Facilitate workshops to define enterprise KPIs, reporting requirements, and fit‑to‑standard solutions
  • Ensure data readiness through validation, reconciliation, and sign‑off across SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare
  • Act as the primary bridge between business and technical teams
  • Strong stakeholder management with JP/EN communication across onshore and offshore teams

Job Description - Grade Specific

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in data & analytics delivery, preferably in large-scale retail or consumer-facing transformations
  • Proven experience leading data and analytics workstreams within complex, multi-vendor programs
  • Strong understanding of retail data domains (e.g., sales, inventory, supply chain, finance)
  • Hands-on experience with data validation, reconciliation, test cycles, and cutover readiness
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and drive decisions in matrix organizations

Language & Communication Skills

  • Native-level fluency in Japanese and English is good to have
  • Comfortable leading bilingual workshops, steering committees, and cross-border teams

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP, data platforms, or cloud analytics solutions
  • Familiarity with agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work under ambiguity
