ADAS system performance and optimization work in vehicles

Responsibilities
Preliminary Consideration and Planning (Preparation for Conformity)
Grasp vehicle specifications, sensor placement, and control specifications
Definition of conformity items by ADAS function (AEB, ACC, LKA, BSM, etc.)
Organize evaluation scenarios and driving conditions
Confirmation of laws and regulations and NCAP requirements (UN-R, J-NCAP, etc.)
Initial Sensor and ECU optimization (Vehicle Integration)
Checking the installation status of cameras, radars, and LiDARs
Sensor Calibration
Static Calibration
Dynamic Calibration
Confirmation of ECU-to-ECU communication (CAN/Ethernet)
Signal Check (Vehicle Speed, Yaw Rate, etc.)
Functional Adaptation and Parameter Adjustment (Core Operations)
Actual vehicle evaluation for each ADAS function
Recognition performance (detection distance, false positive)
Control behavior (deceleration G, steering intervention)
Driver discomfort
Software Parameter Adjustment
Defect analysis and countermeasure planning
Identification of phenomenon reproduction conditions
Log analysis (CAN/ECU/sensor)
Causes analysis
Feedback to the Software Development Department
Compliance with Regulations, Certifications, and Mass Production
Legal evaluation and technical explanation
Pre-check before the NCAP exam
Final margin confirmation for mass production variability consideration
Definition of Adjustment Conditions for Production Plants
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience in the automotive or mobility industry
- Experience and achievements in the verification of embedded systems in the automotive industry
- Vehicle evaluation experience
- Experience and track record of using vehicle protocol analysis tools
- Experience in designing and evaluating ADAS systems or software
- Understanding sensor characteristics (camera/radar)
- Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and chassis
- Communication skills
Japanese : Fluent Reading, Writing and Conversation Skills
English : Business Level Literacy
Ability to communicate effectively with client stakeholders and vendors - Able to work alone with minimal supervision. In addition, you can work actively and effectively in your team
- Be active, flexible, and enthusiastic about self-development and support for junior development
- Systematic, structural, and logical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the latest testing methods and tools, as well as the ability to implement and apply them
- Possess skills at a working level in MS Office tools (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Word)
Welcomed experience/ skills
- Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in a relevant industry field (systems engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering)
- Knowledge and experience with ISO26262, A-SPICE, and AutoSAR
- Experience in system modeling using SysML
- Knowledge and experience of agile development methodologies and DevOps
- Experience and Achievements in Test Automation
