About the job you are considering

We are seeking an experienced Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with more than 25 years of aviation industry experience to provide technical leadership in aircraft maintenance, airworthiness management, asset preservation, aircraft transitions, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have extensive experience supporting airlines, aircraft lessors, MRO organizations, and aviation stakeholders through aircraft delivery, redelivery, lease return, acquisitions, repossessions, quality audits, and maintenance program oversight.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of commercial aircraft maintenance practices, airworthiness regulations, technical records management, and aircraft asset management, along with the ability to work effectively with operators, lessors, OEMs, regulators, and maintenance providers worldwide.

Your Role

  • Lead aircraft maintenance and airworthiness activities to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and approved maintenance programs.
  • Review and assess aircraft maintenance status, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical oversight for maintenance planning, heavy maintenance events, structural inspections, and modification programs.
  • Monitor aircraft operational and technical performance to identify reliability and maintenance improvement opportunities.
  • Support aircraft entry-into-service and return-to-service activities.
  • Manage technical aspects of aircraft deliveries, redeliveries, lease returns, acquisitions, sales, and repossessions.
  • Conduct aircraft physical inspections and technical records reviews during transition projects.
  • Coordinate acceptance inspections, defect rectification, and contractual compliance activities.
  • Review maintenance reserve provisions and negotiate technical conditions with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate aircraft technical records and airworthiness documentation.
  • Verify life-limited part traceability and maintenance status in accordance with applicable aviation regulations.
  • Assess maintenance forecasting, upcoming major maintenance events, and asset preservation requirements.
  • Support aircraft valuation and technical due diligence activities.
  • Conduct internal and external audits against aviation regulatory requirements, IOSA standards, and quality management systems.
  • Support regulatory inspections and corrective action programs.
  • Develop and improve maintenance quality systems and compliance processes.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety management system (SMS) requirements.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to engineers, planners, and maintenance personnel.
  • Act as subject matter expert for aircraft maintenance, airworthiness, and lease transition projects.
  • Interface with civil aviation authorities, lessors, operators, MROs, and OEM representatives.
  • Lead special projects involving fleet transitions, maintenance optimization, and technical investigations.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years of commercial aviation maintenance experience.
  • Extensive experience with aircraft deliveries, redeliveries, lease transitions, and technical asset management.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Airworthiness regulations
  • Maintenance planning and control
  • Technical records management
  • Life-limited part traceability
  • Aircraft maintenance programs
  • Continuing airworthiness management
  • Experience managing aircraft transition projects and technical due diligence activities.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to travel

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$68,911 - $161,544/year

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
