Job Context

As part of the growth of our SAP practice across Australia and New Zealand, Capgemini is strengthening its SAP consulting capabilities to support long‑term client demand and deliver complex transformation programs with confidence.

You will join a global SAP organization operating at scale, contributing to high‑impact client engagements across industries, while leveraging Capgemini’s long‑standing partnership with SAP and a strong regional delivery footprint.

Your Role

As an Experienced SAP Consultant, you will play a client‑facing role across end‑to‑end SAP consulting engagements, from discovery and design through build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.

You will operate as a functional and/or technical generalist, translating business needs into robust SAP solutions and contributing to delivery excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Advisory

• Facilitate workshops to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements.
• Advise client stakeholders on solution options, trade‑offs, and impacts.
• Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and value realization.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Produce functional designs (process flows, configuration workbooks, integration mappings, user stories) and/or technical designs (specifications, extensions, custom developments).
• Configure SAP solutions across one or more modules depending on background (e.g. S/4HANA Finance, MM, SD, PP, EWM, SuccessFactors, Ariba).
• Develop enhancements where relevant (ABAP, CDS views, RAP, Fiori/UI5).
• Support integrations with SAP BTP and third‑party systems (IDoc, OData/REST, APIs, middleware).

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Define and execute unit, system, and UAT test scenarios.
• Identify, triage, and drive resolution of defects.
• Document solutions, configurations, and technical objects in line with internal standards.

Delivery & Collaboration

• Work within Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), including sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and estimation.
• Provide hypercare support and transition knowledge to client BAU / support teams.
• Contribute to internal accelerators, templates, and best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Monitor SAP roadmap developments and recommend incremental improvements and innovations (e.g. S/4HANA simplifications, Fiori adoption, automation).
• Support presales activities when required (scoping, effort estimation, demonstrations).

Your Profile

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
• You have 3+ years of experience in SAP consulting, on a functional and/or technical track.
• You have exposure to end‑to‑end SAP project delivery or multiple SDLC phases.
• You are comfortable working in client‑facing roles and translating business requirements into SAP solutions

Functional Track

• Business process design
• Configuration in at least one major SAP module (e.g. S/4HANA Finance, MM, SD, PP, EWM, SuccessFactors, Ariba)
• Testing and documentation

Technical Track

• ABAP (OO), Core Data Services (CDS)
• RAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP Gateway / OData
• Enhancements (user exits, BAdIs)
• Performance tuning and code reviews

Methodologies & Tooling

• Practical experience with Agile delivery
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of SAP transport management and CI/CD concepts (where applicable)
