SAP Basis Lead

Your Role

• The SAP Basis Senior Manager role at Capgemini involves leading a team of skilled professionals to manage and support SAP environments, with a particular focus on SAP RISE migrations.
• This position requires overseeing the seamless integration and optimization of SAP systems, ensuring high performance and stability.
• The resource will be responsible for planning and executing SAP RISE migration projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive strategies. Additionally, the role includes providing technical leadership, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, all while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP Basis processes.
• Project Management: Lead and manage SAP technical projects, including system installations, migrations, and upgrades. This involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies tailored to meet business objectives
• Technical Leadership and Support: Provide hands-on support for all BASIS tasks, including system copy, client copy, upgrades, and configuration. This also includes managing SAP and non-SAP connectivity, performance, high availability, and disaster recovery
• System Management and Maintenance: Oversee the management and support of SAP landscapes and associated database environments. This includes performing regular system maintenance, upgrades, and patching to ensure optimal performance and stability
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and configuration guides. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP Basis processes

Your Profile

• 10+ years of SAP technical experience, including Basis leadership roles across complex landscapes.
• Proven experience delivering on RISE with SAP programs and large‑scale S/4HANA transformations.
• Understanding on SAP BTP / Single SIGN ON / Integration between cloud and on-premise systems
• Deep experience in designing and running SAP systems on AWS (or similar hyperscale environments).
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a consulting or large-program environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Experience presenting to Design Boards, Architecture Forums, and Steering Committees.
• Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation and solution designs.
   

Desirable Certifications

RISE with SAP (PCE) Certification – highly regarded.
AWS Solutions Architect Certification – desirable.
SAP Basis, SAP BTP, or hyperscaler cloud certifications.
