SAP Analytics Lead

Your Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the SAP analytics vision and roadmap aligned to business priorities.
• Act as the Analytics Lead for SAP programs, ensuring architecture, design, and delivery quality.
• Partner with business leaders to translate reporting, planning, and analytics needs into actionable solutions.
• Lead and mentor analytics teams (onshore/offshore), fostering best practices and delivery excellence.
• Contribute to thought leadership, pre‑sales activities, and client roadmap discussions.
• Design and govern end‑to‑end analytics architectures using:
• SAP Analytics Cloud (Reporting, Planning, Predictive)
• SAP Datasphere (Business Data Cloud / BDC)
• Define data models, semantic layers, and data flows from SAP S/4HANA and non‑SAP sources.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data, security, and governance standards.
• Guide performance optimisation, scalability, and future‑ready design.

Delivery & Execution

• Lead requirements workshops, solution design sessions, and design authority reviews.
• Oversee build, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.
• Ensure high‑quality deliverables, on‑time milestones, and effective risk management.
• Support UAT, business sign‑off, and smooth transition to operations.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

• Act as the primary analytics point of contact for senior client stakeholders.
• Provide clear status, risks, and mitigation plans to program leadership.
• Collaborate with SAP functional, integration, and security teams.

Your Profile

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on and leadership experience with:
• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) – stories, planning models, live & acquired connectivity
• SAP BW/4HANA
• SAP Datasphere (BDC)
• Experience integrating SAP and non‑SAP data sources.
• Solid understanding of data modelling concepts (star schemas, analytical views, semantic layers).
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures and analytics enablement.
• Exposure to data governance, security, and role‑based access controls.

Leadership & Consulting Skills

• 10+ years in analytics / BI with significant SAP focus.
• Proven experience leading teams and large‑scale SAP analytics programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to influence architecture decisions and guide executives.
• Experience in consulting or complex enterprise client environments is highly desirable.

Desirable Experience

• SAP Certified in SAC, BW/4HANA, or Datasphere.
• Experience with planning and forecasting use cases in SAC.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and advanced analytics.
• Pre‑sales, proposal development, or solution estimation experience.
