Your role
As a Multimedia Designer, you will be responsible for translating client briefs into compelling visual concepts that balance emotional appeal with practical functionality. You will lead the conceptual design process, working closely with clients, project teams, and the Chief to ensure design intent is achieved and commercial success is maximised.
This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide or Perth.
You will play a key role in:
- Concept Development: Creating visual representations of solutions that meet client briefs and functional requirements.
- Design Standards: Applying company CAD modelling and documentation standards to meet project goals.
- Commercial Success: Ensuring design solutions retain emotional appeal while supporting project profitability.
- Budgeting: Contributing to budgeting at the proposal and conceptual stages.
- Creative Exploration: Leading brainstorming sessions to explore a wide range of design possibilities.
- Team Collaboration: Recommending resourcing strategies and integrating specialist expertise.
- Quality Assurance: Establishing quality control measures to maintain design intent throughout development.
- Design Culture: Promoting creative thinking and staying current with design tools and practices.
- Client Engagement: Building strong relationships with clients and identifying new opportunities.
- Team Environment: Fostering a positive, inclusive, and idea-driven team culture.
- Reporting: Clearly communicating workload status to the Chief.
- Other Duties: Performing additional responsibilities as required.
Your Profile
Education & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Industrial Design or equivalent.
- Specialist skills in creative illustration and conceptual design.
- Proven experience leading design projects and teams.
- Exceptional drawing and presentation skills.

- Expert-level drawing and visualisation skills.
- Strategic and creative thinking in design concept development.
- Strong leadership and team motivation capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Commercially minded with technical proficiency.
- Deep understanding of production processes and material technologies.
- Ability to manage priorities and make sound project decisions.
Desirable Experience
- 10+ years in design consultancy or design department roles with a focus on concept creation.
- Advanced proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD design and presentation tools.
