Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for UX Designer who is strong in both discovery and design execution. You will play a key role in shaping product direction— working from ambiguous problem spaces to define user needs, uncover insights, and translate them into meaningful, usable solutions.
This role requires someone who is comfortable navigating complexity, engaging stakeholders, and delivering thoughtful designs that drive real-world outcomes.

Job Description

As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for developing user-centric digital products and services that meet the needs of our core users' public officers and citizens. You will work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, product managers, and operations staff, building a bridge between product, policy teams, and public officers.

  • Lead discovery efforts: Plan and conduct user research (interviews, usability testing, field studies) to uncover user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
  • Translate insights into product direction: Frame problem statements, define hypotheses, and translate findings into actionable product and design decisions.
  • Design end-to-end experiences: Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs for citizen- and enterprise-facing applications.
  • Work through ambiguity: Shape unclear requirements into structured problem spaces and propose clear, testable solutions.
  • Facilitate alignment: Run workshops and discussions with stakeholders across product, policy, and operations to drive shared understanding.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and operations teams to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Advocate for users: Championuser-centred design principles and ensure solutions are intuitive, accessible, and impactful.

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in UX / product design.
  • Strong experience in user research and discovery (not just execution).
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and evolving environments.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into clear design decisions.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Proficiency in Figma or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end thinking (problem → insight →solution → impact).
