Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions that support business and customer needs. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful or event-driven APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver features end to end
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and non-production issues
• Implement security, data protection, and compliance best practices
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions
• Support DevOps and CI/CD processes where applicable

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in backend software development
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Go, or Node.js
• Experience with relational and or NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Solid knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools
• Exposure to message queues or event streaming platforms
• Understanding of basic frontend concepts and how backend systems integrate with them
• Experience working in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
