Project Manager - Payments Technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Lead and manage project delivery with a focus on payments technology solutions.
- Project Management: Oversee project estimations, planning, scheduling, and control, ensuring successful delivery in a multi-shore model.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical lead or Test Manager for full life cycle application design and development, including initial requirements discussions.
- Payments Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with payment systems, including Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, and Automated Clearing House programs.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various vendors, internal and external stakeholders to complete testing activities.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Define testing approaches, create and schedule testing activities, and meet deadlines. Exposure to HPQC, JIRA, or other defect management tools.
- Project Management Tools: Utilize Microsoft Office Project for creating and maintaining project plans, and MS Office Tool Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
Required Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years in payments technology solutions at an IT company, with at least 6+ years in project management within a global team.
- Technical Roles: At least 4 years as a technical lead or Test Manager for full life cycle application design and development.
- Banking Domain: Strong understanding of the banking domain and project management concepts, SDLC methodologies, and operating models (Agile and Waterfall).
- Payments Products: Experience with multiple payments and cash management products like Fundtech, Clear2Pay, ACI, Montran, and Dovetail.
- Testing Tools: Experience in NFR testing, test automation, and tools like QTP, LISA, etc.
- Technology Platforms: Managed projects on different technology platforms (Legacy mainframes, Open systems like .Net, Java) and operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux).
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge in PL SQL, Unix Scripting, C, C++, J2EE, STRUTS, and any EAI.
Skills and Competencies:
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to initiate new projects or take over existing ones.
- Communication: Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to deal with ambiguity and define approaches to resolve un-focused issues.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with shared services organizations and support RFI/RFP processes.
- PMO Experience: Experience in PMO is a plus.
