Functional Analyst Lead (Payments Technology)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Functional Analyst with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Payments domain within IT organizations, particularly within large multinational banks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing leading Payment solutions, with deep knowledge of global payments processing, end-to-end payment workflows, and payment systems integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payments Implementation: Lead and contribute to the implementation of Payments solutions for large multinational banks, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

• Functional Analysis & Design: Conduct in-depth functional analysis and design, translating business requirements into functional components. Develop functional and data models that align with client needs.

• Payments Processing Expertise: Provide expert understanding of global payments processing, including SWIFT & ISO 20022 message processing, clearing and settlement systems (e.g., RTGS, Domestic Batch, RTP, and Cross-Border schemes).

• Payment Hub Products: Work extensively with Payment Hub products, such as Oracle OBPay, to implement and optimize payment solutions.

• System Integration: Design and oversee interface mapping and integration solutions, ensuring smooth file transfers across multiple banking systems and payment networks.

• Agile Delivery: Participate in Agile delivery processes, contributing to sprints and iterative development cycles. Experience with UML and BPMN is advantageous.

• Industry Trends: Stay updated on global payments business trends, advising clients on best practices and emerging technologies in the payments space.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an IT organization, with a focus on Payments

• Proven experience in implementing payment solutions at large multinational banks

• Strong understanding of global payments processing, SWIFT & ISO 20022 message processing, and clearing & settlement systems

• Expertise in functional analysis, design, and data modeling

• Experience with Payment Hub products like Oracle OBPay.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to map business requirements to functional components

• Experience with system integration and interface mapping across multiple banking systems

• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies; UML and BPMN knowledge is a plus
