Responsibilities
Responsible for designing user-centred digital interfaces that are intuitive, functional, and visually appealing across various platforms, focusing on enhancing usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Experience Design:
a. Design user flows, information architecture, and interactive elements to ensure intuitive navigation and functionality.
b. Create micro-interactions and motion designs to enhance user experience and provide visual feedback.
2. Interface Design:
a. Create visually appealing and functional user interfaces for websites, applications, and digital platforms.
b. Develop graphics, icons, illustrations, and other visual elements aligned with branding guidelines.
c. Select appropriate colour palettes and typography to enhance readability and visual hierarchy.
3. Wireframing and Prototyping:
a. Develop low to high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualise and test design concepts.
4. Responsive and Accessible Design:
a. Ensure designs adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes and devices.
b. Implement accessibility best practices to accommodate users with disabilities.
5. Design Systems and Documentation:
a. Develop and maintain style guides, pattern libraries, and design systems for product consistency.
6. Usability Testing and Iteration:
a. Conduct or participate in usability testing to gather feedback on design effectiveness.
b. Embrace an iterative design approach, continuously refining based on user feedback and testing results.
Experience & Skill Needed
- Experience working as an experience designer, product designer or related roles.
- Advanced degree, training, or certification in Graphic Design, UX & UI Design, Interaction Design, or evidence of exceptional ability in related design fields.
- An excellent portfolio showcasing UX/UI and visual design work with a strong graphic design sensibility that creates business impact. Must be proficient and highly skilled with design and prototyping tools, such as: Figma, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Comfortable working with Product, Tech, Data, and Business partners to deliver services and experiences.
Strong knowledge in product design processes and emerging technologies. - Demonstrates systems thinking, teamwork, leadership, planning and successfully implemented projects in a dynamic and agile environment.
- Self-directed, organised, efficient; a deep and insightful thinker who likes the challenge of a complex problem and is an effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
