Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Data Architect to lead data strategy, architecture, and solution delivery for large-scale enterprise initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, governance, migration, and modelling, with strong experience in the banking domain. You will guide teams, shape solution direction, and support both delivery and pre-sales engagements.

Responsibilities

• Understand the current system landscape, client capabilities, and business requirements to design data solutions that meet performance, scalability, and availability needs.
• Lead teams in designing and developing data configurations and solutions aligned with architectural standards.
• Recommend approaches to development, integration, and problem-solving across data platforms, warehouses, and BI solutions.
• Define data strategy, solution direction, and implementation roadmaps.
• Act as the primary contact for architecture, design, and development-related queries.
• Identify and adopt new technologies and methods to improve performance, scalability, and automation.
• Support business development efforts including shaping solution architectures and attending client meetings with sales teams.

Job Requirement

Primary Skills

• 15+ years of experience in data engagements, including leading data strategy, roadmaps, and implementation.
• Strong background in enterprise data strategy, data transformation programs, data warehouse architectures, information flow, integration models, business information models, logical and canonical models, and data lifecycle management.
• Mandatory banking industry experience with strong domain knowledge.
• Expertise in data migration strategy, planning, costing, execution, retention, archival, and disposal.
• Experience with Master Data Management across multiple domains. Tools may include Informatica MDM, Stibo PIM, Talend Data Fabric.
• Data governance experience including capability assessments, framework design, operating models, and roadmap execution.
• Proficiency with architecture tools: PowerDesigner, ArchiMate, Toad, ERWin.
• Strong knowledge of modelling methodologies including normalized and denormalized models, ER models, star schemas, hierarchical models, Inmon and Kimball approaches.
• Experience with databases and big data technologies such as Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, Hive, Pig, Impala, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, Snowflake.

Additional Skills

• Programming and scripting: SQL, PL SQL, NoSQL, Shell scripting, VBA, T-SQL, DAX, SSRS.
• Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Intellimatch, MS Access.
• Exposure to cloud and web tools such as AWS, Sitecore, WordPress, Google Analytics.
• Experience with project and productivity tools including MS Project, MS Office, JIRA, and lean delivery practices.
• Understanding of TOGAF architecture principles and DAMA DMBoK.
