Responsibilities
- Work with subject matter experts to develop solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop java services integrated in the end to end processing.
- Design and code a significant amount of a robust, secure and efficient API to persist / retrieve data and implement the business logic.
- Responsible for all aspects of software development and production support (L3).
- Participation in code reviews and sharing of knowledge with other members of the team.
- Provide technical leadership and influence architectural decisions.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and audit requirements (especially relevant for financial systems).
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (JDK 17+) and related frameworks.
- Design and implement microservices architecture using Spring ecosystem.
- Work with messaging systems such as Kafka for event-driven architectures.
- Implement multi-threading, concurrency handling, and performance optimization in Java applications.
- Ensure code quality using design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.
- Implement security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and secure coding standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java.
- Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Experience working with Kafka or similar messaging/event-streaming platforms.
- Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, including SOLID and design patterns.
- Experience implementing application security standards (OAuth2, JWT, encryption).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
