APH Project Manager

Job Description

The Project Delivery Manager is the main driver of the project, accountable for overall system delivery, releases, platform, and infrastructure. This role ensures successful project execution by aligning system delivery with the overall project plan, managing service providers/vendors, and overseeing technical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution:
•    Accountable for overall project system delivery, releases, platform, and infrastructure.
•    Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure system delivery aligns with the overall project plan.
•    Ensure resource planning, scheduling, and budget execution for system delivery teams.
•    Define, communicate, and ensure understanding of system deliverables across all teams.
•    Manage day-to-day operations of the system delivery teams.
•    Provide timely updates to the Project Manager regarding progress, risks, and escalations.
Technical & Vendor Management:
•    Ensure that platform, infrastructure, and system technical deliverables are on schedule and meet agreed specifications.
•    Act as the liaison and communication bridge between system delivery teams and demand management/HO support teams.
•    Oversee service providers and product vendors engaged for system deliveries.
•    Manage contractual administration and obligations of service providers/vendors.
•    Monitor vendor performance, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
•    Provide risk and issue escalation updates regarding service providers/vendors to the Project Manager.
•    Accountable for end-to-end project delivery, including planning, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), schedule, cost, risk, and issue management.
•    Manage internal Business Analysts (BAs) and ensure business alignment on requirements.
•    Oversee and ensure overall project deliverables are met.
•    Define and implement a Project Framework for APH.
•    Define and standardize Project Management Templates and guide Project Managers and Delivery Managers.
•    Review plans/WBS and ensure interdependencies are clearly addressed and aligned with program objectives.
 

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications. 1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems. 2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance. 3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers. 4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities. 5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.

Key Skills & Qualifications


•    10+ years of experience in project management and delivery.
•    Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve issues in a timely manner.
•    In-depth experience in Payments, Cash Management, and Transaction Banking projects.
•    Technical and operational understanding of Payments & Collections/Receivables, including: 
o    Cross-border TT
o    RTGS
o    ACH Bulk Payments
o    Direct Debit
o    Internal Transfer
o    Instant/FAST Payments
o    Virtual Accounts
