Your Role

  • We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and systems to support critical data-driven operations in a dynamic banking and financial services environment.
  • This role is based in Sheffield and follows a hybrid work model (either 2 days per week, or 8 days per month)
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, leveraging GCP technologies, data processing frameworks, and workflow tools.
  • Your expertise will help drive the transformation of data into actionable insights that support business growth and decision-making.

Your Profile

  • Experience with working with Cloud Computing (GCP - Google Cloud Platform preferable)
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programme language e.g. Python.
  • Experience with data processing framework Apache Flink.
  • Experience with workflow management tool Apache Airflow.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
