Job Description
Title: Engineering Intern
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: Summer Internship
Program Duration: 8 weeks (June 1- July 24)
1st week is onsite in Atlanta, Georgia for orientation (Travel Expenses will be covered by the company)

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team onsite in Santa Clara, CA, with daily collaboration with remote teams across the US and Europe.
As an intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers supporting initiatives related to data acquisition, tool automation, and internal engineering productivity. This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to apply classroom concepts in a practical, fast paced environment while gaining exposure to real world engineering workflows. Proactivity in identifying issues and contributing to solutions is highly valued.
Your Responsibilities
• Support engineering teams with data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Help automate manual or repetitive processes using Python and AI assisted development tools
• Assist in building and maintaining dashboards to track operational, quality, or performance metrics
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, including workflow analysis and efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including operations, quality, planning, and engineering
• Document processes, tools, and findings to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Your Role
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related engineering or technical discipline
• Strong analytical mindset with an interest in data driven decision making
• Proficiency in Python, AI assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), and Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of common data formats such as JSON
• Self motivated with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a team based environment
• Demonstrates system level thinking, reliability, ownership, collaboration with international teams, and problem solving skills
Nice to Have
• Data Formats & Quality: Exposure to automotive specific data formats and experience performing data quality checks (e.g., ADAS / AD sensor data)
• Network & Security: Familiarity with basic networking concepts, encryption, and security standards for data transmission
• Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP for data processing and storage

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$10,000 for 8 weeks program
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
