You will apply engineering principles to develop mechanical systems, components, equipment, machinery, controls, and robotic technologies. The role includes product testing, prototype development, design validation, fabrication support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-performing products. You will contribute to moderately complex engineering projects while working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
Your Role
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, technical specifications, engineering requirements, and operating manuals to determine the feasibility of proposed designs and applications.
- Design and develop mechanical systems and robotic control systems utilizing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic engineering principles.
- Create detailed engineering designs, models, prototypes, and documentation using industry-standard design tools and methodologies.
- Participate in product development activities, including concept generation, design validation, testing, and deployment.
- Support fabrication and installation activities to ensure compliance with engineering designs, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate equipment operation, maintenance, and repair activities to optimize system performance, reliability, and asset utilization.
- Design and integrate complex systems involving machinery, hardware, software, controls, and electromechanical components.
- Conduct product testing, validation, and performance evaluations to ensure products meet functionality, reliability, safety, and quality objectives.
- Evaluate field installations, identify system deficiencies, and recommend design modifications to resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, testing, quality, and operations.
- Participate in and contribute to formal design reviews, technical evaluations, and engineering change activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design optimization, manufacturability, product reliability, and cost reduction.
- Assist in coordinating fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair activities associated with mechanical systems and equipment.
- Contribute to moderately complex engineering projects while effectively balancing independent responsibilities and collaborative teamwork.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; Master's degree preferred.
