About the job you’re considering

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to own end-to-end quality for a high-traffic, high-availability B2C digital platform. This is a full-fledged E2E QA leadership role spanning functional testing, test automation, and performance engineering. The ideal candidate leads a team of QA engineers, engages directly with client stakeholders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust test strategy and artifacts, drives modern automation and AI-assisted testing practices, and takes ownership of performance testing and tuning to ensure the platform scales reliably under production-level load.

Your role

  • Own end-to-end quality for the platform: lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, assigning work, reviewing output, and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Act as the primary QA point of contact for client and business stakeholders; gather, clarify, and translate both functional and non-functional requirements into actionable test strategy.
  • Design and own functional test artifacts, including test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and release/quality checklists.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing cycles; provide final quality sign-off ahead of releases.
  • Define and drive the test automation strategy, building and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) and Reflect.run,
  • Own performance engineering end-to-end: define the performance test strategy, design and execute load, stress, and soak tests using K6, identify bottlenecks, and partner with engineering on tuning and validation.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools such as Claude and Cursor to accelerate test design, automation scripting, and defect analysis, while establishing review harnesses and validation checkpoints to prevent hallucinated or incorrect outputs.
  • Manage defect lifecycle end-to-end using Jira and TestRail, providing clear, timely visibility into quality status and risk for senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with developers, business analysts, product owners, and architects across the SDLC to embed quality early (shift-left) and support CI/CD quality gates.
  • Coach and upskill the QA team on automation, performance testing, and AI-assisted testing practices.

Your skills and experience

  • 10+ years of overall QA/QE experience, including experience leading or mentoring a QA team in a lead or management capacity.
  • Proven track record as a well-rounded, full-fledged E2E Quality Engineer across functional testing, test automation, and performance testing.
  • Demonstrated experience designing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and other QA artifacts directly from functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with direct experience interfacing with client/business stakeholders on requirements, quality status, and sign-off.
  • Hands-on automation expertise with Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript; working knowledge of, or strong aptitude to quickly learn, Reflect.run.
  • Solid, hands-on performance testing and performance engineering experience: load/stress/soak testing, bottleneck identification, and collaborating on performance tuning. Experience with K6 is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency using AI-powered development and productivity tools such as Claude and Cursor IDE to accelerate testing and delivery, along with a clear approach to building guardrails and review harnesses to avoid hallucinated or misfired AI-generated work.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes, defect management, and tools such as Jira and TestRail.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Nice-to-Have Skills
    • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
    • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
    • Prior experience testing high-traffic, high-availability B2C or e-commerce applications.
    • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and monitoring/APM tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
