  • Design, build, test, and deliver innovative, high quality electronics product designs, including analog/mixed-signal and digital circuits, embedded systems, power management, and wireless connectivity.
  • Mentor and develop top talent within Synapse electrical engineering department, including guidance on best practices in circuit design and simulation, PCB layout, design for manufacturability (DFM), and developing AI powered process enhancements
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to successfully deliver project outcomes; meet milestones and deadlines in collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and industrial design teams.
  • Serve as a senior client advisor, translating complex engineering considerations into clear business impacts and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Invent and Synapse leadership to build thought leadership, reusable assets, and AI‑enabled delivery methods that strengthen our market position.

You have a talent for leading teams while maintaining the ability to keep calm and laugh when things don’t go as planned.

Required skills:

  • Experience scoping, estimating level of effort, proposing, selling, and giving technical presentations to prospective and existing clients
  • Track record of designing, developing, testing, documenting, and delivering custom electronic assemblies using EDA and simulation tools and electronics lab equipment, including schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout, PCBA bringup, debugging, rework, and performance verification.
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers to success including risk mitigation, task management, scheduling, design reviews, root-cause analysis, and iterative hardware design cycles, using AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of execution.
  • Breadth of experience designing with a wide range of technologies and interfaces such as SOCs, MCUs, DDR, ethernet, Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB, LTE, NFC, batteries, motors, cameras, amplifiers, filters, IMUs, antennae, HDI PCB, FPC, rigid-flex, and cable
