Your Role
As a Director within Synapse at Capgemini Invent, you will shape and deliver advanced product engineering programs that merge hardware innovation, intelligent systems, and AI‑enabled decision making. You will guide cross‑functional teams through the full lifecycle of product development - translating client ambition into executable roadmaps, architecting solutions, and accelerating outcomes using GenAI, simulation intelligence, and data‑driven engineering. This role combines deep technical leadership with client‑facing advisory, solution shaping, and the ability to deliver breakthrough products at scale.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering programs, applying AI, simulation intelligence, and data‑driven insights to architect complex electronics solutions from concept to production.
- Shape client engagements by scoping, estimating level of effort, and crafting compelling, technically sound proposals that demonstrate value creation.
- Guide teams through system architecture definition, prototyping, design iteration, testing, and validation - ensuring quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Apply GenAI‑powered design acceleration, automated verification tools, and intelligent diagnostics to improve speed, rigor, and decision quality.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, instilling best‑in‑class practices, technical excellence, and an innovation‑forward mindset.
- Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and ruthless prioritization to keep programs on track and aligned to client targets.
- Serve as a senior client advisor, translating complex engineering considerations into clear business impacts and actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Invent and Synapse leadership to build thought leadership, reusable assets, and AI‑enabled delivery methods that strengthen our market position.
Qualifications & Experience
Must Have
- Proven experience architecting, designing, and delivering complex electronic assemblies, leveraging EDA, simulation, and advanced testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, manage ambiguity, drive planning, and orchestrate technical execution across multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong client‑facing communication skills, including presenting technical concepts, shaping proposals, and influencing senior engineering stakeholders.
- Experience applying data‑driven or AI‑enabled tools in design, verification, modeling, or diagnostics to accelerate development cycles.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI in areas such as automated code generation, predictive modeling, or intelligent design assistance.
- Consulting mindset: structured problem solving, executive communication, and the ability to translate technology into business value.
Nice to Have
- Experience in industry domains where hardware innovation, embedded systems, or device engineering drive competitive advantage.
- Thought leadership, IP creation, or asset development within engineering or product development disciplines.
- Background in scaling prototyping to production, supply chain coordination, or manufacturing readiness assessments.
- Prior experience in a consulting or client‑service environment.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $169,875 to $319,050
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
