Job Description

We are seeking a Consultant to support Financial Crime Compliance (FCC). In this role, you will work on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Transaction Monitoring, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Sanctions Screening activities to help strengthen regulatory compliance and mitigate financial crime risks. Following a comprehensive training program, you will collaborate with client teams and compliance professionals to investigate suspicious activity, perform customer due diligence reviews, and support ongoing compliance operations. The role offers significant opportunities for professional growth through technical, process-oriented, and industry-specific training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review transaction monitoring alerts and ad hoc customer activity to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, or other suspicious activities.
  • Conduct AML investigations and support Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) documentation when required.
  • Analyze and assess existing KYC records to identify documentation gaps and compliance deficiencies.
  • Perform investigative research using internal systems, public records, and external sources to enhance customer profiles and due diligence files.
  • Review sanctions screening alerts to identify potential matches involving sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions.
  • Conduct industry, company, and financial research to support complex compliance investigations and risk assessments.
  • Prepare findings, reports, and supporting documentation for client review and regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders, project teams, and cross-functional professionals to deliver high-quality consulting services.
  • Develop client-ready presentations, dashboards, and analytical reports summarizing project scope, observations, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Transaction Monitoring, AML Investigations, and/or SAR drafting.
  • Strong understanding of AML regulations, KYC requirements, and sanctions compliance processes.
  • Ability to perform detailed research, analyze large volumes of transactional data, and document findings effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in financial services, banking, or regulatory compliance environments.
  • Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems and financial crime compliance tools.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $55000K - $65000K/per annum.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
