Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst leads end‑to‑end analysis for large initiatives across Life, Annuities, and related insurance domains. The role includes requirements discovery, product design support, process optimization, modernization efforts, and close collaboration with business and technology teams. Deep Life Insurance expertise and strong stakeholder influence are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Lead requirements elicitation via workshops, interviews, and data analysis.
- Translate business needs into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Maintain requirements traceability across the lifecycle.
Life Insurance Domain Expertise
- Work across products: Term, Whole Life, UL, VUL, Annuities, Riders, and Underwriting/Policy Servicing.
- Interpret product rules, actuarial guidelines, and regulatory requirements (NAIC, IRDAI).
- Support product configuration, PAS upgrades, and rate/fee calculations.
Stakeholder & Project Leadership
- Partner with leaders across Product, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Technology.
- Serve as the key liaison between business and IT.
- Provide solution recommendations and decision‑support analysis.
- Mentor junior BAs and offshore teams.
Process Improvement
- Lead process reviews (new business, underwriting, claims, billing, commissions).
- Identify automation and optimization opportunities using Lean/Six Sigma.
- Support modernization, digital onboarding, and workflow automation programs.
Technology & Systems
- Experience with major PAS platforms such as Guidewire Life, Vantage, Ingenium, Life400, ALIP, Oracle Insurance, FAST, etc.
- Work with integration, workflow, document management, and data platforms.
- Support SIT/UAT, defect management, and validation of business rules.
- Understanding of APIs, data mapping, and downstream impacts.
Required Skills
- 13–14 years of experience, including 10+ years in Life Insurance.
- Strong functional knowledge of Life products, processes, and regulations.
- Proven ability to lead multi‑stakeholder programs.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
Preferred Certifications
- LOMA (ALMI/FLMI)
- CSPO / CBAP / IIBA
- Agile certifications
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- Digital transformation projects in Life Insurance.
- Exposure to AWS/Azure and API‑driven ecosystems.
- Knowledge of actuarial concepts.
- Experience with PAS migration initiatives.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $118000 to $138059
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
