About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team.
This role combines hands-on testing, test automation, defect management, quality analysis, and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies, investigating quality issues, managing defects throughout their lifecycle, and working closely with global teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Fluent English communication is required, as this role involves daily interaction with international stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test cycles across multiple releases.
- Execute both manual and automated testing activities.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyze test results and clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Track, prioritize, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle.
- Perform root cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve product quality and test effectiveness.
- Participate in defect triage and quality review sessions.
- Review business and technical requirements to ensure completeness, clarity, and testability.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to achieve quality objectives.
- Monitor testing progress and quality metrics.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality engineering and testing practices.
- Support test automation efforts and identify opportunities to increase automation coverage.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external teams when required.
Must-have requirements
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
- Strong experience with manual testing and test execution.
- Experience creating and managing test plans, test cases, and test cycles.
- Experience with defect management and root cause analysis.
- Experience with Jira, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of regression testing methodologies and quality analysis.
- Experience participating in defect triage activities.
- Basic understanding of software architecture and development processes.
- Knowledge of Git version control.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Basic coding knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, C#, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI solutions.
- Ability to leverage AI for:
- Test case generation
- Test data creation
- Defect analysis
- Root cause investigation
- Reporting and documentation
- Productivity improvements within Quality Engineering activities
Nice to have
- Experience with Playwright automation framework.
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks and practices.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing automated test suites.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications and DevOps practices.
